HEART
Healthy Eating, Active Recreation, & Transformation

Who is this for?

HEART is intended for communities, local governments, healthcare providers, schools, nonprofits, and community-based organizations working to improve nutrition, physical activity, and prevention-focused health outcomes in rural Arkansas communities.

What does success look like?

Rural Arkansans have increased access to healthy foods and safe places to be active, leading to improved health outcomes, reduced chronic disease risk, and stronger local wellness systems.

What will HEART fund and support?

HEART supports community-driven strategies that improve access to healthy food and active living opportunities, including:

Healthy food access initiatives

food hubs, farmers markets, nutrition access programs

Active recreation infrastructure
